Miami Pride Parade Route 2026

Guide to parade route in Miami 2026. Event dates, what to expect, planning tips, and everything you need for an amazing experience.

The Miami Pride parade route takes you through the heart of the city's LGBTQ+ community. Here's everything you need to know to find your spot along the route.

Route overview

The parade steps off at 12th Street & Ocean Drive at 12:00 PM and heads south along Ocean Drive. The route ends at 5th Street & Ocean Drive, Lummus Park, covering about 0.7 miles.

The full parade typically takes 2-3 hours for all groups to pass any given point. The front of the march reaches the end point well before the last groups have stepped off.

Best viewing spots

  • Near the start (12th Street & Ocean Drive) — You'll see groups at their freshest and most energized. Less crowded than mid-route.
  • Mid-route along Ocean Drive — The densest crowds and most festive atmosphere. Arrive at least 90 minutes early for a front-row spot.
  • Near the finish (5th Street & Ocean Drive, Lummus Park) — Great energy as marchers reach the end. Often near the main festival area.

Bring a small folding chair or blanket if you want to sit. Standing room along the barricades fills up first.

Getting to the route

  • Public transit — Take the South Beach Local (free circulator bus) to Runs along Washington Avenue. For mainland access. See our getting there guide for full details.
  • Rideshare — Set your drop-off point 2-3 blocks from the parade route. Expect surge pricing. Schedule your ride early.
  • Driving — Not recommended. Streets close early for the parade and parking is extremely limited near the route.

Accessibility

Accessible viewing areas are typically set up along the route with clear sightlines and wheelchair access. Contact Miami Pride in advance for specific ADA accommodation requests, including ASL interpretation and sensory-friendly zones.

Tips for parade day

  • Arrive early — 60-90 minutes before step-off for the best spots
  • Bring water — You'll be standing in the warm and sunny for hours
  • Sun protection — Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses even if it looks cloudy
  • Charge your phone — Bring a portable battery pack for photos and navigation
  • Know the exit plan — Identify side streets in case you need to leave before the parade ends
