What to expect at Miami Beach Pride 2026
Miami Beach Pride is a two-day celebration centered on the iconic Ocean Drive and Lummus Park beachfront. The beach festival features live music stages, DJ sets, drag performances, 100+ vendors, food trucks, art installations, and community organization booths — all with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop.
The parade on Sunday is a colorful procession along Ocean Drive, featuring floats, marching groups, local businesses, and celebrities. The energy is uniquely Miami — Latin music, tropical vibes, and a strong Cuban, Colombian, and Brazilian LGBTQ+ presence.
Pride parties run throughout the weekend at venues across South Beach and the mainland. Pool parties, nightclub events, and boat parties are all part of the Miami Pride experience.
The parade route
The parade starts at 12th Street and Ocean Drive and heads south along Ocean Drive to 5th Street, ending at Lummus Park where the beach festival is in full swing. The route is about 0.7 miles along one of the most famous stretches of beachfront in the world.
Best viewing is from the sidewalk cafes along Ocean Drive (arrive early and grab a table) or from the beach side of the road near Lummus Park. The parade is compact and high-energy, lasting about 2 hours.
Key neighborhoods
South Beach — The epicenter of Miami Beach Pride and one of the most LGBTQ-friendly neighborhoods in the Southeast. Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue, and Washington Avenue are lined with Art Deco hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs. The 12th Street beach area has long been a popular LGBTQ+ gathering spot.
Wilton Manors — Fort Lauderdale's LGBTQ+ village, about 45 minutes north of South Beach. The second-highest per-capita LGBTQ+ population in the US. Wilton Drive is packed with gay bars, restaurants, and shops. A great day trip or alternative base.
Wynwood — Miami's arts district on the mainland, known for its murals, galleries, and creative nightlife. Increasingly popular with the LGBTQ+ community for its inclusive, artistic vibe and restaurant scene.
Where to stay
South Beach is the best location — you're steps from the parade and festival. Hotels on Collins Avenue and Ocean Drive book up fast for Pride weekend. Book at least 6-8 weeks in advance.
More affordable options can be found in Mid-Beach (still walkable) or on the mainland in Brickell or Wynwood (20-minute drive or rideshare). Fort Lauderdale hotels near Wilton Manors offer another option if you want to experience both Pride scenes.
Getting there
Miami International Airport (MIA) is the nearest major airport, about 20 minutes from South Beach by rideshare. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is often cheaper and about 40 minutes from South Beach.
Getting around South Beach is easy on foot — the parade and festival area is very walkable. The South Beach Local is a free circulator bus running along Washington Avenue. Rideshare is the best option for getting to/from the mainland. Parking in South Beach on Pride weekend is extremely limited and expensive.
