Pride Events Not in June
Pride events outside of June. Fall, spring, and winter Pride celebrations across the US. 40% of major events happen outside Pride Month.
June is Pride Month, but many of the best Pride celebrations happen at other times of the year. If you can't make it in June, or if you want to attend multiple Pride events, here's your guide to off-June options.
Why not June?
Cities schedule Pride outside of June for several reasons:
- Weather — Miami avoids summer heat by holding Pride in April. Atlanta avoids Georgia's brutal summer by going in October.
- Avoiding competition — with NYC, SF, Chicago, and dozens of others all in June, cities like San Diego (July) can command more attention on their own weekend
- Local history — some cities have celebrated in their current month for decades
Major non-June Pride events
Spring
- Miami Beach Pride — April 11-12, 2026. Perfect spring weather, beach festival, and Ocean Drive parade.
July
- San Diego Pride — July 18-19, 2026. Hillcrest parade, Balboa Park festival, and ideal San Diego weather.
Fall
- Atlanta Pride — October 10-11, 2026. The largest Pride in the Southeast. Piedmont Park festival with mild fall weather.
- Orlando Pride — typically October. "Come Out With Pride" in downtown Orlando.
- Las Vegas Pride — typically October. Cooler desert weather.
Year-round
- Key West Pride — June, but Key West's LGBTQ+ scene is active year-round (Fantasy Fest in October, WomenFest in September, etc.)
- Palm Springs Pride — November. Desert weather is perfect for a fall Pride celebration.
- Provincetown — Bear Week (July), Carnival (August), and various LGBTQ+ events year-round.
Benefits of non-June Pride
- Less crowded — June cities compete for attention. Non-June events feel more intimate.
- Better weather — April in Miami and October in Atlanta are objectively better weather than June in many cities
- Lower prices — off-peak travel dates often mean cheaper flights and hotels
- Attend multiple — spread your Pride celebrations across the year
