What to expect at LA Pride 2026

The LA Pride Parade is a vibrant procession along Hollywood Boulevard featuring colorful floats, marching bands, celebrity appearances, community groups, and corporate partners. The parade atmosphere is festive and very LA — expect elaborate costumes, film industry floats, and a strong Latinx presence reflecting the city's diversity.

LA Pride Village is the free street festival along Hollywood Boulevard with 140+ vendors, multiple music stages, food trucks, art installations, and community organizations. It runs all day alongside the parade.

LA Pride Night at the LA Zoo is a popular ticketed event during Pride week where the zoo opens at night for a Pride-themed experience with DJ sets, animal encounters, and cocktails.

The parade route

The parade steps off at Hollywood Boulevard and Cahuenga Boulevard at 11:00 AM, heading west on Hollywood Boulevard. The route passes the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, ending at Highland Avenue. The route is about 1 mile and takes roughly 3 hours for all groups to complete.

Best viewing spots are along Hollywood Boulevard between Cahuenga and Highland. The sidewalks fill up fast — arrive by 9:30 AM for a good spot. The bleacher seating areas near Highland fill first.

Key neighborhoods

West Hollywood (WeHo) — The heart of LA's LGBTQ+ community. Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega and Robertson is packed with gay bars, clubs, restaurants, and shops. WeHo hosts its own Pride events throughout the month.

Silver Lake — A hip, artsy neighborhood with a strong queer history. The Black Cat Tavern here was the site of one of the first LGBTQ+ civil rights protests in 1967. Great bars, coffee shops, and vintage shopping.

Hollywood — Where the parade takes place. Close to the Metro Red Line for easy transit access. Tons of hotels at varying price points.

Where to stay

West Hollywood is the best base for LA Pride — you're in the LGBTQ+ epicenter with bars and restaurants steps away. Hollywood puts you closest to the parade route. Budget travelers should look at hotels along the Metro Red Line in North Hollywood or Koreatown, which offer quick subway access to the parade area.

LA Pride weekend is hot (expect highs in the mid-80s). Book a hotel with a pool if you can — you'll want it after a day in the sun.

Getting there

Metro Red Line is the best option for parade day. Exit at Hollywood/Highland or Hollywood/Vine — both stations are steps from the parade route. The Metro runs extended hours on event weekends.

If you're driving, park in the Hollywood & Highland garage or nearby structures and walk. Rideshare drop-offs should target side streets — Hollywood Boulevard closes for the event. Street closures typically begin at 7:00 AM.
